This is a great exercise for children 8 – 18 years old, which helps them ✔️use their imagination, ✔️think about themselves and their lives, and ✔️revise their vocabulary.

What you will need:
- A pen or a pencil
- A piece of paper
- Colouring pencils (optional)
Imagine your Avatar!
Take a few minutes to imagine yourself as a completely different person, living in another country, speaking a different language, and living a different life. Now look at the following questions and write down your answers, giving as many details as you can:
What do you look like?
Are you a man or a woman? Young or old? Think about your height, the colour and length of your hair, the colour of your eyes, etc.
What clothes are you wearing?
Winter or summer clothes? Trousers and a top, a skirt or a dress? A swimsuit or maybe a ski suit?
What are your eating habits?
In other words, what do you like to eat? How many times a day do you eat? What’s your favourite food in this new country?
Where do you live?
In a big city, a village at the edge of a forest, a seaside town, or someplace else? In a cosy flat, a big house with a pool, or maybe on a farm?
What language do you speak?
What does this language sound like? Can you describe it?
How do you travel?
Do you own a car, or maybe a boat? Do you use public transport, like trains or buses?
What is your job?
Do you like your job? How many hours a day do you work? What exactly do you do when you are working?
Do you have a family?
Do you live on your own? Are you a teenager living with your parents? Or are you an older man or a woman, living with your children?
If you feel like it, you can now draw a picture of yourself living this different life!
